The Mens Junior Scull final saw Joe Evans-Murray put up a strong challenge in moderately rough conditions coming out 3rd at the half distance buoy turn when he then put on the pressure and rowed through the competing crews to take the lead and secure a fantastic win by two lengths ahead of the chasing crews.

Joe then had to come ashore and immediately join Alex Robertson for the very next Mens Senior Pairs Final where the two oarsmen produced an excellent challenge over the 2000 metre course and eventually took the 4th place finish. Later in the day Alex also competed in the Mens Senior Sculls Final with sea conditions which were now somewhat rougher and after a strong performance took the 3rd place podium

finish.

The Mens Junior "A" Fours crew of Joe Robertson, Matt Miselbach, Harry Hopper, Harry Miselbach with cox Anja Bennett qualified for the finals with ease with an impressive row, however in a later heat the Junior "B" crew were just outside qualifying for the Finals as they took the 4th place finish.

In the Mens Junior Fours Final the Shanklin"A" crew put up an excellent challenge in the rough sea conditions and were neck and neck with a Christchurch crew for the finish line behind the eventual winners Westover.

The Ladies Junior Fours "A" crew of Juliette Wrixon, Amber De Landro, Daisy Faithfull, Sophie Swallow and cox Anja Bennett rowed a superb heat to qualify for the Finals in which they too had to contend with the rough sea conditions where they rowed with style but were unable to take a podium place finish .

The Mens Novice Scull Final was re-scheduled towards the end of the day when the sea conditions became less rough and saw Shanklin oarsman Harry Miselbach take control from the start, rowing a superb race and he took the win comfortably by 4 lengths. This excellent win now promotes Harry up into Junior status single sculls races for the remainder of the season.

Shanklin Sandown Rowing Club would like to thank Advanced Automotive for their sponsorship with transport which has enabled the Club to attend these mainland regattas.
